For several months, the team has planned, prepared, and packed. I will travel from LAX to Chicago to Brussels and on to Kinshasa. The team will then fly to Kananga and travel to Tschikaji. I looked at Google Maps of Tschikaji and was surprised to see the Good Shepherd Hospital identified!
We will spend six days at this hospital, which is part of IMCK (which also includes a nursing school, technical training, clinics, and more). Looking at the maps and seeing where we were going increased my excitement.
I am taking soccer supplies to outfit a couple of teams. Maybe a future World Cup player will come from Tschikaji! I am taking a bee suit and gloves and will have an opportunity to teach about beekeeping. The local carpenter hopes to have a couple of hives built from the plans I sent in advance. It is amazing how God will use what we enjoy to reach others.
Please pray for traveling mercies for the team and good health. Please pray that the team will accomplish all God has planned at the Christian Medical Institute of Kasai.
