Once, they (the Pygmies) had a champion. He stood only a little over 5’4”, had unruly hair, and the heart of a passionate hippie that turned to the Lord, and thus to the Lord’s work. He was able to present Christ in the flesh to many, including to my husband and to me. I know God was in his work.
Forever there will remain the memory, the story, and the lore of a fiery doctor that won children, chiefs, women, and government to his way of teaching. A man who could be counted on and faced down soldiers with loaded guns. A man who spent Christmas captive and kidnapped in Kinshasa, having been dragged from the Pendjua Mission. A man who went back and continued on for the Lord.
