Dr. Jerry Galloway understood the need to train Congolese doctors and nurses as the number of missionary doctors and nurses significantly decreased. Dr. Jerry supported many students to continue their education in health care. You can read more in "Courage in the Congo."
The Friends of IMCK, of which I am a board member, supports IMCK in the Kasai region of Congo. IMCK serves the people of DR Congo through medical and educational services. IMCK includes two schools, the Medical Technical Institute or ITM, and the Superior Medical Technical Institute or ISTM.
The ITM offers a high-school-level nursing school and a laboratory technician school. The ISTM is a university-level nursing school that opened in 2010 and offers BS degrees in health care management, midwifery, laboratory sciences, and pediatric nursing.
Please pray that the faculty, staff, and students have the resources to succeed. To learn more about IMCK, please go to the Friends of IMCK Facebook page or www.imck.org
